About Jay A. Rose

     Jay Rose is a native of Los Angeles. He attended U.S.C. School of Business Administration where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 in tax and accounting. In 1980 Mr. Rose was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College of Law.
     The Law Offices of Jay A. Rose focuses its practice in the area of Asset Protection from lawsuits, Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law and Corporate Law. In addition, they handle formation and compliance issues for family charitable foundations and nonprofit tax exempt organizations.

Memberships and  Bar Admissions

     Mr. Rose is a former Commissioner of the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging and a former member of the LAPD Community Police Advisory Board. In the business community, Mr. Rose has served as a Board Member and Past Vice President of the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce, and is a past member of the State Issues Committee of the Valley Industry Commerce Association (VICA). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Executive Association of the San Fernando Valley. Earlier this year the Executive Association of the San Fernando Valley awarded Jay their “Executive of the Year” award.
     Jay Rose has served as Judge Pro Tem of the Los Angeles Municipal Court and a Referee and Mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court Northwest District. He is a member of the California State and Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the California State, Los Angeles County and San Fernando Valley Bar Trusts and Estates Sections, as well as the San Fernando Valley Estate Planning Council. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Federal Tax Court as well as the Washington DC Bar.

Recognitions and Awards

     In recognition of his community efforts, Mr. Rose has received a Commendation from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles and a Congressional Certificate of Appreciation from Representative Howard Berman. He was the recipient of the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce Award of Excellence for 1997. In May of 1997 his law offices received the award for Small Business of the Year from Assemblyman Tony Cardenas, the United Chambers of Commerce and the Valley Economic Development Center as well as a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Brad Sherman of Woodland Hills.
